Hi there!
Welcome to Michiko's room.
This room is not very big --- rather small and cozy. There
are some interesting things scattered here. I hope you will find
them enjoyable.
If you want more than just visual greetings, click on the lip mark
here to listen to the bilingual voice greetings from me.
Having said good bye to the beautiful city of
Victoria, British Columbia,
my home for the past 20 years, my family moved to
Monterey, California
in the summer of 1998, in order to complete my study at the grad school
in translation and interpretation.
Then, we moved again! We are either in love with U-Haul, or we
are insane. Anyway, here we are, in the summer of 1999,
in a little community outside of Columbus, Ohio. I am now working
for an auto manufacturer as an in-house interpreter/translator.
Besides my work and study, I pretend to look after a cranky old husband and
a hyperactive daughter. Our mentally and sexually challenged
(and super lucky) cat is now looked after by a friend till we move
to a more permanent place where cats are allowed. :-)
I also take care of an e-pet, Poe, and a special Beanie Polly.
This Beanie Polly is now VERY special, signifying friendship with
a very dear friend who all of sudden passed away in June of 1999.
I am glad Polly watches over me from the top of my computer everyday. :-)
